Ontari-airi-airi-o!
Feb. 19th, 2004 05:49 amSo the provincial tourism minister, Jim Bradley, wants to bring back the "A Place to Grow" song to help promote Ontario. I'm thrilled, because we used to sing that all the time when I was a kid (course we switched it up - Scarbor-arbor-arbor-ough!) I brought that up during our 5:45 t-up this morning and to my absolute horror, neither Greg nor Shannon knew what I was even talking about. They've never heard of it, never sang it, and basically think I'm insane.
Everybody now...
A place to stand
and a place to grow
we call this land
Ontario!
A place to stand,
a place to grow
Ontari-airi-airi-o!!
Everybody now...
A place to stand
and a place to grow
we call this land
Ontario!
A place to stand,
a place to grow
Ontari-airi-airi-o!!

Date: 2004-02-19 08:51 am (UTC)and a place to grow
and call this land
Ontario!
A place to live, for you and me
With hopes as high
as the tallest tree!
Give us a land of lakes
and a land of snow
and we will build Ontario
A place to stand,
a place to grow
Ontari-airi-airi-o!!
I can't remember if there are any other verses...
