I've got a journal!

Well, my darling sister Heather told me about this live journal thing and I must admit, I thought it was kind of weird. I mean, letting the entire world read my journal? That's just creepy. But the more she told me about it, it sounded like fun. So here I go!
I'm at work right now, as I probably always will be when I write here. Work, by the way, is reading/writing the news on CKSY FM95 and The Rock 94.3 - radio stations in Chatham. Although I've been working at the stations for about eight months now, I just got promoted to my current job (afternoon news announcer) a few weeks ago. I used to do reporting during the week and news announcing on the weekends - this is quite a step up. No more getting up at 3:30 in the morning on a Saturday. Who can ask for more?
I'm afraid I can't think of anything more interesting to add right now - perhaps I'll be inspired later in the day.

Finally my week is over! Being sick sucks, especially when you HAVE to go to work and despite a sore throat and severe coughing fits, you have to talk all day. Bah! Like today, I was feeling better than I have over the past four days but then during my second cast on the Rock, and only on my second story, I started hacking away, tears streaming down my face and I could barely breath, let alone speak. And all on air. The jock kept saying "you ok? you wanna go on?" meanwhile listners are stuck hearing me have a fit. But hey, if nothing else, it might make them feel a bit sorry for me and make them hate me less! (note for those who aren't me - on my first day doing this shift I said in passing that I wasn't terribly fond of the Tragically Hip, much ranting and raving and some death threats from listeners ensued)
Well, seeing as my work day actually ended half an hour ago, I'd better drag my sorry sick ass home and curl up with my kitty. I sure hope there's something halfway decent on tv tonight!
