(no subject)

How I love the sounds of the big city - horns a'honkin, sirens a'wailin..it's lovely :) At the moment, I'm sitting in my sister's den staring down at the hustle and bustle of the St Lawrence Market on a Saturday morning. I would kill to live here - hell, I'd kill to live on her balcony (at least when it's warm) even though it's awful small I simply adore the view. (for those of you interested in seeing it, I'm sure Heathy's got a picture somewhere in the depths of her journal)

Pretty soon I'll be hopping on the GO train and heading back to my parents' place, having some of my high school girlfriends over for a mega-birthday luncheon (Nancy's birthday was on Tuesday, mine's tomorrow, and Heather M's is next week) Should be lots of fun. I can't wait to see how Brenda's ever-growing tummy is (she's pregnant, not fat) :)

Tomorrow, the big birthday day, I'm going to the Jays game with my parents, then back to Heathy's place to watch the game, go have a big birthday dinner, then come back to Heathy's to watch Survivor - not sure how that's all going to fit in, but it must, it simply MUST!

Well, I feel old...old and yet very young. Maybe young's not the right word...behind the times. Nancy and Brenda were the only ones who could make it to my little lunch today, which was fine, it was great seeing them again. But the entire conversation for the afternoon revolved around husbands, children, upcoming children, and other family-centric things. What do I have to contribute to this? Nada. Brenda and her husband are getting ready to have their first child and are fixing up their house to make room, Nancy and her husband are getting ready to move into their second home and are planning on starting to have kids within the next year. I've got a little apartment and a cat. Big whoop. My friends are having babies, building real families, acting all *cringe* mature. It's just wrong
