Yeah, you know it. Yeah, you know it all, don't ya? But alas, usually being eager to learn takes it's toll on your social life. But you don't really care, cuz you know in 15 years you're gonna own their asses. MWUHAHAHA, that's right, after writing your thesis, you plan on global domination. Probably not, but we all know you're perfectly capable of it.

Yesterday was, of course, Dr Phil Day - getting real about fat. It's a two-show thing. Yesterday was the psychological reasons behind why people eat, next Tuesday will be how to stop. Yay Dr Phil!
Today's topic on Oprah - "What your mother never told you about sex" - if they're talking about MY mother it's going to be one hell of a long show!

Why do I always feel so guilty when bad things happen to other people? My good friend and co-worker Lisa just came into work in tears, stormed into Paul's office and screamed bloody murder at him for about 15 minutes. Apparently after I left yesterday there was a massive shakeup around here - essentially, Paul and I are the only on-air staff in the newsroom who are keeping their shifts. I can understand the moves from a management standpoint, but it doesn't change the fact that it's upsetting to people like Lisa. This is the second demotion she's got in the last few years through absolutely no fault of her own. The first time she was on the morning shift (my shift) and got bumped down to afternoons because George (my darling co-host) didn't like her, and this time she's been pushed right off CFCO altogether and down to doing afternoons on CKSY and the Rock. Her fiance, Ted (morning guy on the Rock) is leaving on Friday and everyone knows Lisa will be leaving as soon as she possibly can get another job near him, so moving her off of a high profile shift now while they're shifting a bunch of other people makes sense. But it doesn't stop it from being totally insulting to her - every chance upper management gets to fuck her over, it seems they take it. She gets passed over for raises again and again, gets demoted at a moment's notice and no one seems to care what happens to her. When she was in yelling at Paul, I felt SO horrible for her, but I know there's nothing I can do.
The politics around here suck.
