Timing is everything

The drive back to Chatham yesterday afternoon was lovely - not much traffic, kept up a pretty steady pace the entire way back, and the trip took just under three hours. But as I watched the 5:30 news on Global last night, I realized just how lucky I was. About 10-15 minutes after I went by, there was a crash in almost exactly the same spot where I got stuck the last time (between Kitchener and Drumbo), and this time, both the east and westbound lanes were closed for over 4 hours. Leaving sooner is definitely a better plan than later. And many thanks to Seamus for being found as quickly as he was!

Cameron who?

George, my beloved co-host, gave yet another shining example of his extensive knowledge of pop culture this morning during our daily round of "Screen Test" - a contest we run in which we play an audio clip of a movie and listeners have to identify which movie it is. Not very hard, we give hints and stuff to help our slower fans. This morning's moving was "There's Something About Mary", and George's hint was "Now the actress in this movie, Cameron Diaz, really hasn't done any major films since this one was released." Riiiiight...nothing big, only Vanilla Sky, Charlie's Angels, Being John Malkovich, Shrek....all very piddly little flicks, nothing at all.
