Gonna be a little bit of a pounding today
Nov. 22nd, 2002 06:34 amOnce again, Paul, my boss, is off, so I'm the acting news director for the day. Stephanie, our moronic reporter, was covering a budget meeting last night when the mayor approached her. The mayor gave Stephanie a letter she'd received from Buzz Hargrove, told S that there would be either an article or an ad (Stephanie wasn't very clear in the note she left me) in the National Post today about the International truck plant in Chatham. Now, to anyone who's even got a working brain cell in their possession would think 'hey, if the National Post is going to have an article on Chatham things, maybe the Chatham radio station should too! Let's find out more about this!' But of course, our darling Stephanie doesn't have a working brain cell in her possession, so she didn't ask any questions, just brought the letter back to the station and left it for me. The letter, of course, mentions nothing about International, or even Chatham in general. And of course the note she left me is very vague, and the National Post website doesn't mention any articles about the CAW, Buzz Hargrove, or International, so I've got dick all to work with. Thanks so much, crack reporter!!
