AMSTERDAM -- IKEA stores in Holland have been targeted in a bombing
campaign.
All ten branches of the Swedish-owned furniture firm are closed in the Netherlands as the search goes on for more explosive devices.
Two so far have been found.
One went off injuring two bomb disposal experts.
A third package destroyed by police turned out to be harmless.
Sweden's ambassador to the Netherlands says IKEA had received threatening letters from an unknown person.

Why would someone ever want to hurt Ikea???

Ratings

Oh my dear lord I'm giddy. Ratings came out today, for most people they honestly don't mean all that much, especially around here. But I've never been through ratings before as a morning show co-host/news anchor thing...hell, I've never been through ratings as a regular on-air person! Last year I was still doing weekends/reporting, so I wasn't included, and we didn't do ratings in Summerside.
CFCO, for the past several years, had the highest ratings out of our three stations for morning news packages/top of the hours. Last year the 8am news had 100-thousand listeners. This year, we went to 120-thousand! That's a massive jump for our market! And the noon report (also mine) skyrocketed as well. It's totally surreal - everyone keeps coming up to me in the halls congratulating me. So much for working in the shadows of Cindy - I kicked her ass!
