The dawn of a new day

It's a miracle, I am debt-free! I got my insurance cheque yesterday, popped that baby in the bank, paid the down-payment on my new car, completely paid off my Mastercard bill (a grandiose amount that was several years in the making), and am now completely out of debt. I don't think of my car payments as debt - like my Mum said, it's just one of those things like rent/mortgages, bills and other stuff that you'll just about always have to pay. To quote my darling sister, Huzzah!!

Christ almighty!

I just whacked my right hand on the door frame. No wonder it's not getting any better!

I got my hair cut yesterday in honour of the lack of debt thing (yes, I realize spending money is kind of a backwards way of celebrating), and for the first time in years, I've got bangs again. I look younger with bangs, and as people trickle into work and some of them (mostly the girls) notice the change, words like 'cute' and 'adorable' are cropping up left right and centre. I've always had a gargantuan hatred of being called cute, but for some reason, it doesn't phase me that much anymore. Wonder why.
