I am very very selfish. My darling, beloved, beautiful sister kadenza called me last night to ask if it was ok if she missed my birthday. My first thought, hell no! It's my BIRTHDAY! She explained that her friend had invited her down to New Jersey for the long weekend, and it was the only time they'd be able to get together before her friend goes away for the rest of the summer. How can I deny my sister a chance to visit her friend, whom she rarely sees anyway. Heathy sees me all the time. Birthday or no birthday, it would be very very selfish of me to ask her to stay home.
Heathy emailed me this morning - they've made reservations to go, but they're coming back Sunday so they can still be home for my birthday on Monday.
I love my sister :)
