Weekend update
Oct. 5th, 2003 07:09 pmLet's see, what happened this weekend...
Saturday, did tons of house cleaning in preparation for the gathering last night. The gathering itself was largely successful - about seven or eight people showed up, which was a nice comfortable number, considering the amount of seating we have. Matt and I got into a bit of a screaming match in the kitchen over whether or not Seamus should be allowed to sit in the windowsill if the urge moves him. There was much laughter from the living room following a comment from one Mr MacLeod - "Why do mommy and daddy fight so much?"
Today, got up around 11 (!), took a nice drive down to Windsor to do some shopping, bought two skirts and a top, came back to Chatham and went to Payless and bought two new pairs of boots (how I do love a sale, and numerous sales even more so.) Got a call from Terry to tell me he'll be out of work on Thursday as the factory he works at is closing down, there was much commiserating and also much stressing that no, I cannot help him find a job in Chatham. Long distance relationships are hard, but honestly I don't think I'm ready to live in the same city with him. Sometimes distance is good. Then I went out for tea with Stephanie, and soon I'll call my mum. I may even call my sister, although she hates it when I just call to chat without a specific topic in mind, so maybe I'll put that off until another day. After that I'll watch the Trading Space $100,000 special at 8, and go to bed.
Now that's what I call a weekend :D
