I found out today I actually get to go home for Christmas! Luckily, there apparently doens't need to be any afternoon news on CKSY on Christmas Eve, so I can go home on the 21st after work and not come back til Boxing Day. Woo hoo!

I'm getting kind of nervous about our Christmas party. I found out yesterday that my date was hitting on one of my co-workers (who has been in a committed relationship for two years), made her feel very awkward, which in turn makes me feel very awkward about bringing him to the party. Also makes me feel pretty shitty about myself - nice to know my date would rather be going to the party with someone else. Sort of reinforces all the depressed feelings I've been having of late that I'm 27 - closing in on 30, have been single for almost two years, and no one will ever love me again. The one thought that keeps squeezing its way back into my brain is that the last Christmas Terry and I were together, he told me by the next Christmas I'd have a ring on my finger and he'd love me forever. Isn't this such a wonderful time of year?

huh... last christmas i was still with my fiancee. maybe she's hooked up with Terry now. ;) ah, screw it... pass the eggnog!

If your fiance is with Terry I feel VERY sorry for her. Course, if she's not with you anymore, she's obviously not a very bright girl, is she? :)

probably as bright as Terry, i'm sure. :) but hey, i say ac-cent-u-ate the positive and e-lim-in-ate the negative, and hereby banish all talk of exes!!
