How I love doing banter with my darling co-host. He's always so witty and wise...yeah, and goats can fly out of my ass. For one, I'm getting pretty sick and tired of the 'first robin of spring' comments every freaking day! It was slightly amusing (stress on slightly) the first time he mentioned that he saw his first robin of spring the first day I started working with him - haw haw, but it became more than a little tired about oh...a month ago!! And we just finished a rousing round of chit chat, including a brief discussion of vegetarianism. Apparently there's a new study out that says 89% of vegetarians asked said they'd be more than happy to eat non-meat meat-flavoured products. So I said yeah, my sister's one and she likes those fake sausage, fake baloney things, and mentioned that there's even fake ground beef now that looks and tastes just like the real thing. He thought that was slightly interesting, but then said 'well, I guess it's just a mind thing they've tricked themselves into - they've got themselves thinking they don't like meat, but whoooa, give them something that tastes just like meat and they're all over it. I guess some people are a little less dedicated than others.' and I said well hold on a second there - I can't speak for all vegetarians - I know there are some people who don't eat meat simply because they don't like it, but my sister, and millions of other vegetarians don't eat meat because of ethical reasons, it has nothing to do with the taste. So if they can get meat-flavoured things without having to kill a living thing to get it, even better. And brilliant Mr Brooks said 'well, if you say so, but I just don't know about these people...'

Roby, you just gotta do your best to make him look stupid on air without him realizing it, and I think you're doing an ok job from the sounds of it. The "first robin of spring" thing is.... really lame.

Yes, very lame. Yesterday he asked me why I don't migrate to Florida every winter like all the other robins...har de har har.
