Had a pretty good weekend. Spent some quality time with my mum, who came down Friday afternoon. She got into town around 4:30, we played some cribbage and went out for a tasty dinner at T-Bones. Saturday was filled with all sorts of mother-daughterly goodness - went for a scenic drive, stopped by a couple of gifty places for my mum to get a wedding present for one of her students, played mini-golf (she kicked my ass), went for Chinese for lunch, went to the mall (and visited with aphraeldanae at the Harry Potter sale), watched the Shriners' parade (how they fit in those itsy bitsy cars is beyond me), had a scrumptious dinner of spaghetti, meatballs and fiddle heads, and then mum went home. I was going to go down to the Slip In and meet up with some work/Jaycee friends, but felt absolutely horrible (dizzy, headache, slightly nauseated) so I just went to bed. Sunday, got up around 11 (yeehaw!), came into work to send my request list off to remhq, then went to Windsor for a spur of the moment shopping spree. Bought two new tops, a pair of shorts, and some draw-string capri pants. I'm so stylin! Then it was back home, where I lounged in front of the tv for the rest of the day. Man I lead an exciting life! ;)

All I can say about the week ahead - thank god for air conditioning! Highs in the low-mid 30s through to Thursday. Blech!

Oh I didn't buy the book. I've never read a Harry Potter book in my life. Probably won't, either, much to the chagrin of some of my friends ;)
