I knew those damn Jaycees would pay off eventually. One of the guys is some kind of computer wiz, and after I lug my computer over to his place tonight, he will provide me with and install a modem. Yeehaw! I'm all for the free parts and labour ;)

Aha! It stands to reason that if there are spare computers being given away for free, surely there must be a few modems lying around too. Sweet!

Ok, dilemma. Andrew told me if I ever don't want/need the modem anymore, I should either give it back to him or sell it for a lot of money cause it's not cheap. I said 'well how much can I pay you for it?' and he said 'whatever you think it's worth.'

What brand is it? Try finding one like it on eBay if you're really interested in knowing what it's worth, but don't give him a cent.
