Here we are in lovely St Andrews by the Sea. Heathy and I departed from our parents' place in Toronto at 3:44 on Saturday morning, drove and drove and drove. One speeding ticket and a few wrong turns later, we arrived in St A just in time for dinner. No fighting, no major mishaps - sisterly road trips are good clean fun!
We haven't done anything terribly exciting here, which is just what I wanted. Nice, calm, seaside relaxation. I haven't even given work a second thought. I don't care if the newsroom has gone to pot (and with Matt around every day, that is a definite possibility) I don't care if the other half of the staff quit (since half of them have already left) I just don't care. Perhaps I'll care when I get back, but right now I'm living free and easy. Today we're doing the Quoddy Loop, and then apparently going out for pizza with our grandmother. Should be an adventure - both the Loop and the dinner ;)

Gah!! And just who will the new news director be? Have they hired someone? Or is this one of those bandaid solutions of theirs that turns into a permanent thing?

walter is still the 'news director' in the interm - they are still looking for someone as far as i know...walter's been in a snit all week :P

remember, rip the band-aid off quickly - it's 'less painful' that way ;)

Exactly. Although the bandaid rip was a little more painful than I thought - my sister read your comment before I did, came home and said 'Hey Roby - you're the new news director!' Kind of freaked me out, then I started thinking about me being ND, then came to the library and realized it's not true after all.
Stupid work.
