Just over two hours until the big event, and in case I haven't mentioned it in the past, the big event is tonight's Chatham and District Chamber of Commerce provincial election debate, which I am moderating. Televised debate. Sure, it's just the local cable station, which only three people watch, but still. I'm nervous as hell! I've been going over the script for the last hour or so and I think I have it mostly down. I'm sure no one will mind if I miss a word here and there, as long as I don't just make stuff up. "Tonight's debate will be a no holds barred steel cage death match...Pat Hoy and Derry McKeever, if you would take your places on the mat..." Bob, our new kickass reporter is covering it, and will be sitting in the front row to cheer me on. It's an hour and a half, and I just hope I can stand up for that long! Mary Lou Finlay, give me strength!

God, it was hard not to! I was never sure when the camera would be on me (they weren't using regular cameras - they're mounted in little globes in the ceiling, all unobtrusive like, with no little red lights coming on) but some of the guys were just total duffuses!
