It's over!
Nov. 11th, 2003 04:17 amThank god it's over! No more elections until the spring. No major surprises around here last night. My last update was at midnight, and even then all the polls weren't in - we just called it quits. The winners had been decided, it was just a matter of getting the last few votes counted. Got home around 12:30, got to sleep some time after 1, and was up as usual at 3. Less than two hours sleep - nice. Hopefully today will go by quickly and I can get back home to bed!

Date: 2003-11-11 05:51 am (UTC)But as Greg and several other people were pointing out this morning, if you count the number of people who voted AGAINST her, it's a heck of a lot more - something like 18 or 19 thousand (compared to the 16-thousand votes she got)

Date: 2003-11-11 10:46 am (UTC)It was the worst when I worked in television. My station was really into politics and election coverage. I cant count the number of times I'd sit in some podunk courthouse waiting to get results for a country commisioner election. Rarely got to cover any of the "fun" elections except for the '96 Congressional race from my district.
