The weekend's over, back to the grind.
My parents were waiting at my place when I got home on Friday, we sat around, got them settled in, then went for dinner at this really nice place down on the river (Heathy, if you ever come back, I'll take you there!). Saturday was a great day - made pancakes for breakfast, then spent the day driving around - went to Point Pelee for a while, visited the winery, then spent a few hours just driving around, through Amherstburg and LaSalle, making our way to Windsor. Drove by my old house, went for a nice (although a little chilly) walk by the river - it was like I never left (except the bridge is a different colour now) then it was off to TBQ for dinner. In keeping with tradition, mum and dad had the ribs and I had a club sandwich, then the banana splits. So gooey and yummy and gross :) It's a damn good thing we only do that once every four years! Sunday we went for a drive over to Lake St Clair since my dad has never seen it before, and then to the CK Museum. A very nice weekend all round, and to top it off, I got a new tv! :) Yay for colour!!
