Wow...

Ever have one of those sort of out of body experiences? I just had one, it was very weird. I was reading the weather of all things, and this little voice in my head said "Wow, whose voice is that? It sounds like Evelyn Macko!" Then I realized wait...that's MY voice. yes, I realize this is a terribly odd inner voice of mine, but still. It was very cool.

I get that when I take Dayquil, pretty much constantly. I become completely dissociative. It's like watching a movie about me.

I know!! I worked with her when I did my internship at 640/Q107 in college. She's awesome.

Just curious... when did you do your internship @ 640/ Q 107? Were Larry Silver and Tom Rivers there @ the time? I'm great friends with Larry; his sons are my age! I was even an usher for his one son, Skye, and Skye was my bridesman! :)

Yes!! I wasn't there for long - four months in the spring of 1998. I used to adore Larry. He told me one day I couldn't wear shorts to work anymore because my legs were distracting him ;) He got me coffee every morning (I never drinking coffee until he got me hooked, the bastard!)

Larry taught me so much! Like I mentioned, I grew up with his sons, both in Toronto, and even in Fergus! It was tough to go from calling him "Mr. Silver" (as in a friends parent) to "Larry" (as in an industry person)

He used to drill in such things as "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission" and "radio is composed of 2 things... show and business... never confuse the two." He also said tough skin was key, and that the highs and lows of the biz can be extreme. I guess I could go on...

When I first brought Dan to the Q/ 640 studios (when they were up in North York area) Tom, Larry, Dan and I were going across the street for an early "liquid lunch". Larry hugged me, then shook Dan's hand and said, "If you hurt her, I'll beat you like a red headed step-child!" He was joking, but serious at the same time!

Haven't spoken much to him in the last year or so... :( I've only met Macko a couple of times.

Yeah, he was the main reason I liked being there. I worked directly with Kym Geddes and she made my life a living hell. Larry was always pumping me up, giving me little tips on my stories and stuff. I miss that man!

No no no.....the voice was just your average 'in my head' voice. IT was MY voice that sounded like Evelyn Macko.

I think I had them as a kid, I definantly have as an adult though not for awhile
