The coffee gods are smiling on me. Yesterday, I won a bagel with my Roll up the Rim cup. Today I got a donut! I can't eat either, but I like winning :D

I bought a new shampoo yesterday - figured it was cheaper than getting my hair done for now. It's L'Oreal Vive intense smoothing shampoo (and conditioner) and holy crap is it ever awesome! Three people have commented on how great my hair looks this morning. The ends aren't all frizzy anymore and it's all smooth and shiny. Yay for new shampoo! (doesn't take much to make me happy...)

While we're dispensing household tips, here's one of mine. Buy el cheapo shampoo--because it doesn't matter how your hair gets clean when the conditioner just goops it all up again--and spend the extra money on a good conditioner, because that's what's responsible for the final feel of your hair. On my hair, I find that Pantene, um, smooth and straight conditioner (or whatever it's called) works best, especially if I leave it in for three minutes every time.

We're doing a running tally on our Tim's results. So far I'm 3 for 11 and my Shannon is 1 for 11. At one point I was 3 for 6. Since the odds are 1 in 9 I guess I have a long stretch of losing ahead of me.
