While I was away, I bought a Yoga tape, stress relief for beginners - it says right on the label "for all ages, all body types, all fitness levels" so I figured hey, great for me! Then once the tapes starts, there's a few warning screens - menstruating women should not do the abdominal twisting exercises, pregnant women shouldn't bend over backwards, and the final warning - yoga should not be performed by those not physically fit. And they're right - I've come to realize yoga is not meant for fat chicks. Touch my forehead to my kneecaps? Are you insane? I don't think I could've done that when I was skinny, let alone now! But I did it anyway, warnings aside. It's a good thing I live alone - I can only imagine how silly I must have looked. But to my surprise, it was actually kind of fun. Afterwards I felt totally relaxed and energized, all at the same time. So I did 50 crunches just for the heck of it. Hey, I've got a wedding to get ready for! :)
