Oh the pain...

I think I'm going to take a trip over to our friendly neighbourhood walk-in clinic after work. My right hand (hurt in lovely crash) is practically useless today. The swelling seems to go down as the day goes on, but first thing in the morning it's like a freaking balloon, and the pain is at times overwhelming. Seeing as I have to work first thing in the morning, and what I do most at the beginning of my shift is type, this cannot go on. My ankle still hurts a lot too, but I can live with that. This hand pain has got to go. But sweet Jesus I'm afraid of the walk-in clinic!! Damn this doctor shortage. I wanna go home.

I just got back from the walk-in clinic. Such fun times. Luckily they weren't very busy so I didn't have to wait with the sick people long. The doctor said he doesn't think there's anything majorly wrong with me - he said I should stop walking around so much, keep my foot up and ice it more (can't guarantee I won't walk around - kind of important for getting back and forth between the newsroom and my booth), and as far as my hand goes, he said I've probably pinched a nerve or something, maybe pulled a muscle, nothing broken but he thinks it's a little more tender than it should be. So I'm going in on Monday to get x-rays. Fun fun fun!

Valentine's question

A bunch of the single girls from work are getting together on February 14th for an anti-Valentine's party. We're going to order pizza, bitch about our ex's, and watch girly movies. Now the movies are the main sticking point - we want 'girl power' movies (I apologize for the term) where there are no happy couples, no love, no nothing like that. We had considered Dangerous Liaisons/Cruel Intentions, briefly thought about Bridget Jones's Diary (although quickly ditched it after remembering it had a happy couple ending)

So here is my challenge to all my beloved journal readers - I need suggestions for girly kickass movies!
