May. 25th, 2003 02:47 pmI thought weekends were supposed to be for relaxing! Well, not mine anyway.
Saturday: got to the Kinsmen Auditorium at 8 for fair set-up day. We built a bigass wooden perimeter fence to keep all those non-paying punks out next week. When Matt told me all we had to do on set-up day was put up the fence, I figured hell that'll be easy! We got finished at 4 and christ almighty it was hard work! I don't think my poor hands will ever be the same - splinters, scrapes...it's worse than moving! But the fence is done and I *think* that's all we have to do until the fair actually starts on Wednesday. So after that I went home, had a nap, showered, changed, and went over to Chris' place for a little get together. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard and so long as I did last night. I'm sure the copious amounts of alcohol didn't help, but I've gotta say - my friends are freaking hilarious :) Chris + a dish towel + mocking of fellow co-workers = good times! Ended up leaving just after 2, grabbed some McD's with a few of the guys, and crashed.
Sunday: woke up at 7 feeling totally great - I love not ever having hangovers. It's a wonderful life :) Put up my new shower curtain (white sheer curtain with a few blue stars and couple of moons and a sun with a clear vinyl inner curtain) - Matt hates it and said it looks "too faggy" for him, but oh well. If I can put up (temporarily) with the framed picture of him and a bunch of strippers hanging in the living room, he can put up with a faggy shower curtain. Just hung around the house for the morning, reading and resting. Then at 11 I strolled back over to Chris' place to fetch my car. What a gorgeous day! Not too cool (about 16), sunny...just really lovely. Came to the station and picked up the Rock truck and brought a bunch more stuff to the apartment from my old place. I think I only need to make one more trip and I'll finally be done moving!
It's about 3 o'clock now and I'm exhausted! Going to go home, watch The Ring (hope it's not as horrible as some of my friends say it is), and just kick back. Yay for weekends :)
