Farmers feed cities indeed!

One of the perks of country living - being able to eat asparagus before it even knows it's not in the ground any more :) I had no idea raw asparagus was so good. (and to think kadenza didn't want to come down this weekend and missed this!) Seriously, you can't buy vegetables at a store that are anywhere near as tasty as the kind you get from a stand beside a field. Can't wait til the corn's up!

mmm totally agree on the fresh corn! I can still point out the house where Dad stopped all the time on the way from Sauble Beach to buy corn. They don't even grow it there now, but I'll forever know that house as the place we'd buy our corn!

The beauty is the St Jacobs Farmers Market for fresh veggies... and I'm only a 3 min drive from!!!
