Our part time summer girl is filling in on afternoons this week, and one of her duties is writing up the Telepoll results. I provide the question, she tallies the votes and writes up an answer - keep in mind, the only thing she gets from the votes is how many people called the yes and no lines, not what they said - we elaborate on that ourselves. Yesterday's question - "With Joe Clark bowing out of the Tory leadership, is now a good time to united the right?" Her answer - "62 percent of callers say Joe Clark should join the Alliance while 38 percent say he should just quit." Huh??? Did you even READ the question, or read any of the news at all in the last two days, or ever? For someone who works in a newsroom, her stupidity astounds me.
God I need a vacation.
