I'm back. I can't believe that not only is my vacation over, but I have to be at work the day after tomorrow. I guess I'm suffering from a bit of post-vacation depression, but it will pass soon enough. It's a little strange to go from 10 straight days of being around family non-stop to being totally alone again. But anyway, the trip was great - very relaxing for the most part. Got lots of sun (too much), breathed in lots of salty air, sat around a lot, read a lot, didn't have to see too many relatives, didn't die or anything, so I'd call it a success. My mother and grandmother got on my nerves at times, as expected, and my darling sister did a bit as well, but I'm over that now. (Sorry Heathy!) The one Grandma quote that will stick in my mind for years to come I'm sure - Friday night she and my uncle were over for a bit and Grandma remarked as she watched our old and quite large cat Kim-yo hobble across the room, "Oh isn't she funny. Robyn, she looks just like you - pretty face but a hideous figure!" Ah Grandma, always a pleasure.
All that's left for me to do tonight is maybe a small load of laundry, clean the house up so it's nice for my parents' return tomorrow, and to get reacquainted with my sweet Seamus, who seems to have missed me terribly. :) Too bad I left my brand new cd's in my sister's car so I can't have them for at least another few weeks. Bummer, but what can you do?
