Yet another day of frustration here at CKSY. The GM apparently called this afternoon and said my newscasts sound like crap - not by any fault of mine, but because there's some sort of buzzy-humming noise coming from the booth I work in. So the techs have come and torn my booth apart. We have three booths here - the news booth (used by me), the CFCO booth (Lisa's booth) and the CKSY booth (used mainly by the announcers for voice tracking and such). So I'm boothless! I've put a note up on the CKSY booth to let people know I'll need it every hour this afternoon, but I've also been told by the assistant GM that if one of the announcers is already in there, I can't really kick them out. The hell I can't! Do you want news this afternoon or not? Cause they're making my job awful hard today!

... and more importantly, where would you change clothes if you had to become SuperNewsChick if your booth is torn apart?

i say take a remote mic and camp out in a quiet corner of the assistant GM's office... tell him/her it's the best place there, acoustically. :)
