newschickSooooo very sleep today. I think I slept a grand total of five minutes last night. My landlord has the heat cranked up so high I had to open a window last night. That of course drove Seamus nearly to distraction and he was bounding up and down from the windowsill all night long, chirping away to himself. And to top it off, my landlord started cooking/burning sausage or something like that around midnight, and the smell wafted down and holy crap did it ever STINK.
Another thing probably keeping me awake last night was worrying about this damn wedding. There are a couple of things I've been thinking about - my friend Arlene was supposed to stay over tonight and then we're going to drive down to the wedding tomorrow, but I'd rather she just came down in the morning. She's terribly allergic to cats and I don't want to be even remotely responsible for her feeling icky tomorrow. (she has since agreed that she should stay at her own place tonight - yay!) But the major concern of mine is my date. I'm supposed to be taking Terry. Although I know there are those who think I shouldn't go with him just on basic principles (Heathy), but I'm starting (ok, not JUST starting) to think going with him will make for a rather uncomfortable evening. I mean, I really want to go with him, but I'll be with all my work friends, we'll be talking about work things, and he might feel really left out. Plus I'd be going back and forth all night, worrying about abandoning him or neglecting my friends. I mentioned my concerns to him last night and he said whatever I decided would be just fine with him, as long as I'm happy, blah blah blah. He's going to call me this afternoon to see what's happening. While I will be with all my friends, I just hate being the only one going stag.
