Let it snow!

First big snowstorm of the new year and what am I doing - why driving to Toronto, of course. The roads suck ass, but is that stopping me? Hell no. Slushy, snowy, icy conditions across the 401, more snow forecast for the rest of today and into tomorrow, then more snow again on Sunday, the day I'll be coming back. I was just informed my sister has come down with some illness, my brother in law is getting his wisdom teeth out tomorrow, but they (well, mainly Heathy) are still hosting a lunch with some distant cousins. Why am I subjecting myself to icky driving 3 hours each way and the possibility of catching whatever disease is plaguing my sister? Why, because my kitty is there!! I let him stay with my parents for a week and damnit, I want him back now!

I'm mostly functioning. I put on clothes and walk around and look perfectly normal. But my voice is about an octave lower than usual. I barely even cough, and my nose is fine.
Also, Marshie feels fine and has an ice pack on his face while doing a jigsaw puzzle. When the freezing wears off though, it may be another story.

that sounds much like what I had about three weeks ago. Not debilitating but it did linger for a couple of weeks. OK now though!

*first* storm of the year? we're on our third or fourth... i'm sick of shoveling already and it's barely January!

Well my dear, the year just started four days ago! I meant first storm of 2003, not first storm of the winter. Course, we've only had one or two of those anyway ;)
