I am very sad today. I killed my car. I was driving home from work yesterday, was coming up to a red light, stepped on the break, absolutely nothing happened and I rammed into the car ahead of me. VERY thankfully, the woman in the car and her son are fine. Not sure what the damage was to her car, but mine is a write-off. I hurt, I have no car, and I feel like shit.
Blah.

You're like the 10th person I know to have ice trouble this past week or so. My sympathies! (I'm staying OUT of the car, don't want to tempt fate!!!)

Thanks. Yeah, every time someone else hears about the accident, they tell me about at least 3 people they know who've had the same thing happen. It's a nasty time of year.

The ambulance guy gave me a quick once over and said I probably twisted my ankle but it was nothing to worry about. I'm ever so slightly concerned about my wrist, which hurts a hell of a lot today and is all puffy and stuff. Again, probably just a twist or sprain since I still have use of it and everything, but it hurts. My car hurts a lot more than I do :(

Poor Roby. Maybe you should ice the wrist and take some ibuprofen.
Also, don't forget to make the insurance company give you a rental car!

Are they required to give me a rental? That's what I hate most right now is I have no idea what the protocol is for this - I've never been in an accident before. I'm totally depending on my insurance people being very forthcoming with information.
