Our co-op just said crick (as in creek) and I can't stop laughing.

On the other end of the spectrum, I just got an email from my dad... "Here we are, comfortably ensconced in our East Coast domicile"
and people wonder why I'm so anal about using proper language! :)

If she hasn't learned to speak all proper-like by now, she's up the crick without a wooden self-propulsion implement.

No no, this is our high school co-op, not our intern. The intern is from some college or other. Not that she's terribly bright either, but she usually can at least speak properly.

Marshie said the leader of this year's ultimate team sent around an email yesterday saying she was going to pick up the team's "rooster" today. Not that this has anything to do with cricks or domiciles.

How come Dad never writes to me? Maybe he's writing it now.

The letter from dad was to you and me, so you must have it by now.
I think Marshie's team should have a rooster! It'd be like a mascot :)
