My landlord is continuing his home beautification project by sprucing up the hall outside my apartment and fancying up the laundry room - both well deserved endeavors. The laundry room is a sty and the walls and ceiling in the hallway look like crap. He told me he'd be painting downstairs and hoped I didn't mind the fumes (I kinda like them) but when I came home from work yesterday, everything, including the doors, ceiling, walls, and molding, is various shades of bright pink. He was down there working away when I walked in and said "Hi, like the colours? I know girls like pink things, so I figured since there's a girl down here I'd make it as pink as possible." My hallway looks like the Barbie aisle in a toy store. Now all I need is Ken...

No, the bees are alright. And I don't mind pink in moderation - that quilt Grandma made me is pink and I still use it. But Heathy, it looks like a Pepto bomb went off!!

oh no, that's terrible!! why could he not ASK what colour you might like... or failing that, just paint the hall magnolia or shell or navajo white like anyone else? If it was me I'd be asking him to redo it in something less hideous if he didn't want to lose me as a tenant.

Oh no, not inside.
Plus this morning, I came out and discovered he's painted over the darker pink on the door and the moldings - my door is now a cream colour and the moldings are sort of what looks in the dark to be kind of bluey-green. I'll have to see it in daylight, but it looks much better. I heard his 'lady friend' over last night, so maybe she told him it was hideous.
